A new project which recently is introduced by Achmad Solikhin and IGAF as well as assisted by Baskoro Pakusadewo and Hany Zuyyinah is the Forest – Based Community Enterprises. The project includes two projects which are Agroforestry Education and Jepara?s Biocomposite. The project is executed in Jepara Regency, Central Java, Indonesia by engaging children, youth, and local community. The involvement of local community is, here, a good way to conserve the environment naturally.

Agroforestry is an integrated system which combines forestry and agriculture. This system was introduced to the students of SD N 2 Jambu under supporting of the Indonesian Green Action Forum. The implementation of the project was by planting fast growing and multipurpose species of trees in abandoned lands. This system was proven help to rehabilitee degradated area and abandoned lands.

Wow.This is such a great report. Through proper education, information and communication to students, they will be more aware in agroforestry. This practice is very useful nowadays, not just to environmental stability but also to human livelihood. :)

Getting students in touch with nature instead of general learning that could be very confusing and not benificial to them is the first step into creating futur leaders :)

Hey Achmad, me being a student of agriculture appreciate the projects Agroforestry and Biocomposite. It is a better way of land utilization and upgrading degraded land. Planting multipurpose fast growing species will benefit the local community. Happy to hear so many appreciable efforts :)
