Report of planting trees

Last month, our Center's volunteers went to Cao Bang to make a big program of growing 100 Champaca plants, 3 Ficus Religiosa trees and 5 Osaka trees in the pagodas of Cao Bang and Lang Son Provinces.

Cao Bang is located in Northeast of Vietnam. The distance to Cao Bang province was very far. And it took us a half of a day to reach the pagodas.

Our team included 16 members. We needed a truck to carry trees from our center in Hanoi to the destinations and we traveled by motorbike with slogan of encouraging people do good for environment.

At night, we stayed and slept at schools. In the morning, we went to Pagoda to grow trees and gave some gifts for the poor. We also called for help from students nearby we cooperated with them in moving trees and growing trees.

Due to the slope terrain, the mission of planting trees got lots of trouble. However, the volunteers of our team were still very enthusiastic to complete their task successfully.

Finally, we also asked the local to sign for a commitment of growing trees. They would sign voluntarily the number of trees they hoped to grow in the future.

I am very happy to join these activities. I hope the trees we planted will grow quickly and bring much green for this beloved earth.

Thao, thanks for reporting :D I actually planned for a week of short trip to the mountainous region in northern Vietnam, but had to give up because of other trivial issues. It give me a good vibe that some people are sparing their time for nature to make the world a better place to live in. Cheers!

Yes, we referred much information, these trees are suitable with the weather of Cao Bang and they are appropriate to be grown in pagodas because they can give shade and scent.

Thao, it may have been very, very tough to plant those trees. In your report you have stated you planted 100 Champaca plants, 3 Ficus Religiosa trees and 5 Osaka trees is there any reason for selecting those species for Cao Bang? Are they especially suitable to grow at that region, or are they easy to grow? Just my personal question haha. Thanks for reporting and have a great day!
