winner of monthly event for Jan 2016

Hello everyone!
We would like to announce the winners of the 1st Monthly Event.
Please check out the winner list and put your comments and encouragement.

(*The order follows alphabetical order of participant¡¯s name.)

1. Anthony Emecheta from Nigeria
PRESERVING EARTH THROUGH IDEA SYNERGY
Synergy is pooling something together to make it stronger and in this case, ideas. Learning is a continuous process and nobody knows it all. Pooling ideas together will help children and youth from one part of the world pick up ideas from those from other parts on better ways of doing things to preserve mother earth. When these children and youths learn this better ways, because they are better enlightened, they could easily convince their families to adopt the new models (which will be easier for the family to embrace than when an outsider comes to tell them same) and the circle grows from there. I think this theme is important because majority of human actions are borne out of ignorance and if presented with options, some can actually change.

2. Aquina Dian from Indonesia
Unite the Youth Power to make Our Sustainable Future
Let's start with a daily small action. To change a big thing, you must start with small action. However small, it's so meaningful. Most of the people look for a big change with instant solution. But to produce lasting change comes by the power of simple actions repeated over time. And that's all started from your own self! Start with buy fresh local groceries, using public transportation, etc. Share Your Knowledge, motivate those around you! After you success to build environmental awareness in yourself and have a thorough understanding of environmental issue our next step is motivate other people around you. In this section we can use our environmental networking platform Tunza Eco-generation to share our activities, knowledge, and everything about environmental to raise awareness to protect our earth as early as possible. There are many other ways to inspiring people around you. Inspiring other means that we must do a real action. Not about just a motivation words without implementation. Life in harmony with Nature based upon explanation everything is possible if we can unite the power to realize our sustainable environment for better life.  It looks so simple but it needs effort and perspiration to realize.

3. Arushi Madan from United Arab Emirates
Let¡¯s Increase our handprint to Decrease our footprint
People have been talking about decreasing the ecological footprint. It¡¯s time to take actions and increase our handprint. Handprint means our actions towards sustainability, our actions to protect environment and save Mother Earth. The concept of Handprint is to decrease our ecological footprints by taking more of eco-friendly approaches in life. Let¡¯s make our Handprints bigger than our Footprints. There are many ways we can increase our ecological hand print. Let us all take a pledge to Increase our Handprint and Decrease our Footprint.

4. Bikal Ghimire from Nepal
Let The Action Speak
Well my theme for the year 2016 is "Let The Action Speak". It has been commonplace now that environment conservation is in everyone's tongue. But when it comes to the real deed there are only few who perform the action. Many people train and give presentation about how can environment be safer and cleaner but they themselves fail to carry out the environment conservation acts in their daily life. I want to add a story. I participated in an environment awareness program. A presenter gave a bombastic presentation. Yes, I was impressed by his words and was motivated too. But after the program was over I was heading back to the park to drive back my bike and what I saw? He was throwing the wrappers of the Dairy Milk Chocolate he ate openly in the parking lots. Such hypocrites are many who just act drama to be wise about environment. Hence, my theme is "Let The Action Speak", we have heard the words more than enough. It¡¯s high time to act.

5. Bindu Bhandari from Nepal
Building Eco-Synergy via Youth Networking
Working as a youth campaigner and serving as an ambassador of Tunza Eco- generation, NETWORKING holds a special meaning for me. Youths are symbol for change and innovation. While our mother nature is being encroached by human beings, I have been inspired by several youths across the globe who are making tireless efforts for sustainable healthy planet. Networking helps understand, share and replicate the best practices, success stories, initiatives, failures, challenges and responsibilities in a multi-dimensional and multi-cultural way. Be it Online or Offline networking, it always broadens our horizon of understanding in an empathetic manner. Thus, I would like to recommend the theme "Building Eco- Synergy via Youth Networking" which I realized utmost being a member of Tunza Eco-generation where I get inspired by aspiring youths from different backgrounds. This theme can help generate new ideas for connecting youths and synergizing their deeds.

6. Dante Kirkman from United States Of America
Speak Up for the Planet
My proposal for the theme is to motivate and inspire youth to become environmental activists and help save the planet. The planet can do a lot of things, but it can't speak for itself. So it¡¯s up to us to speak up for the planet, and share our voices in our communities to work for change. We also should speak up and let our leaders know that as the next generation, the planet is ours to inherit and it¡¯s our responsibility. We need to ask for help from our governments, business leaders, scientists and celebrities to solve this. Together if we all speak up, we can make a difference and help everyone around us go green, and get our societies as a whole to implement green solutions and policies. Together, we can do this, if we all speak up for our planet.

7. Manav Jha from United Arab Emirates
ACT TOGETHER TO MAKE OUR PLANET LIVABLE
"Earth is the most beautiful creation of God. God made it beautiful, happy and green. God created Man to take care of his beautiful creations. Soon Man forgot his duty towards mother earth. He began eroding the earth of its beauty by stealing its natural resources. So Earth is going through devastating phase. Man has to make it green and livable once again by reforming his deeds¡± – Save The Green Earth. We all need to come together to turn our earth back into a beautiful abode. We need to make conscious and persistent effort to change our way of living. Changing the world around us is not easy. We have to act in togetherness. Therefore "ACT TOGETHER TO MAKE OUR PLANET LIVABLE" is an ideal theme of the year 2016 as it signifies that we have to act not in isolation but in oneness with everyone as we all belong to EARTH THAT IS ONLY ONE.

8. Neha Swaminathan from United Arab Emirates
Ally to be Alive. Act with Tact
Live Green The words ¡°Ally to be Alive¡± convey the importance of working together towards sustainability of future lives. We need to work together for the global cause of this millennium to ensure the future generations will have a livable planet. Ally means someone who is on your side. Ally comes from the Latin word alligare, meaning "to bind together, and protect one another¡±. Tunza Eco-generation is a great networking portal where environmentalists ally with each other. Act with Tact means the team has to work together with tactful methods. If you are tactful, you have a knack for saying the right thing at the right time. We have to handle the environmental issues tactfully as we should educate the people even elders without hurting them. We should carefully communicate the ill-effects of the wasteful methods and the dangers of affecting the ecosystem. We have to also highlight the benefits of the alternative green methods. I strongly recommend the theme to network together for the green cause through these words ¡°Ally to be Alive. Act with Tact. Live Green¡±.

9. Oseluese Akhimien from Nigeria
Ideas for a better society EXPLANATION
The world has been faced with new challenges on a daily basis ranging from environmental issues, health problems, climate change, financial challenges and so on. These challenges threaten the very fiber of the society in different facets and at various levels. Hence it has become expedient for youths around the globe to pull their creativity and imaginative abilities together fueled with determination and diligence and channel their strengths towards making the society a better place. We all crave for a better world but such a world will not come unless we make it. Let us be the change we want to see in the world. We can make the world better if we come out of our comfort zones and take fundamental steps towards making the society better. Therefore, the concept of this theme is to provide a suitable medium for youths to task their creativity on how they can bring about a better society for others and posterity at large.

10. Sakshi Ghildiyal from India
The environment around me
Change occurs in multiple steps, if everyone starts considering the environment around themselves that would lead to a green environment. How: inspiring everyone to generate awareness at their region will lead to a global change in environmental. Events like green campaign , clean your region, plantation drive etc. Why: concentrating over small region will provide a microscopic view of the environment condition but when we connect these microscopic views we can also get the telescopic view. This will be beneficial to understand the problems as well as to figure out the solution.

We appreciate all participants who submitted great themes stem from their own experiences and knowledge.
Each entry carried profound message so it was too hard to select only 10 themes.
We do hope these themes to hold Tunza Eco-generation strong and tight for the year of 2016.

Thank you!

Congrats to all winners. My views are on par with Bikal Brother's ideas and statement. Often, :I too have to deal with pseudo environmentalist who speak big words about environment conservation and likewise but are even reluctant to take a public ride or adopt at least one of those eco ideas he shared.
Let's show by our actions because we are youths and we can. we must.
Saying this, I am so happy that alliance, synergy, action and youth networking are popular terms among us ^_^
