This year, Algeria officially is celebrating "Earth Hour for the first time with the # AssociationSIDRA. Earth Hour  is a global event, during which the demand from homeowners and businesses turn off the lights and electronic devices is necessary for one hour on the last Saturday of March every year, so as to raise awareness of the danger of climate change.
Earth Hour began in Sydney, Australia in 2007 employed an restaurants candles for lighting and switched off the lights in the houses and prominent buildings, including the Harbour Bridge Opera House, and after the success of the campaign and the participation of 2.2 million residents of Sydney joined 400 cities for Earth Hour 2008, including Atlanta, San Francisco, Bangkok, Ottawa, Dublin, Vancouver and Phoenix, Copenhagen, Manila, Suva (Fiji's capital), Chicago, Toronto, and also Australian cities like Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Canberra. The city of Dubai is the city's first post Arab in 2009 followed by Riyadh in 2010 and extinguished some prominent buildings such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and the Sears Tower lights in Chicago and Soldier Field Stadium football and also The CN Tower in Toronto and the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the twin towers of the Kingdom and Faisaliah in Riyadh .
