TETRAPAK Recycling Project -- A green initiative

by | 29-02-2012 16:46 recommendations 0

I am an active member of Emirates Environmental Group , Dubai which is a UN affiliated NGO . My school , The Millennium School , is also a green school and under the guidance of Eco Club teacher supports several green initiatives . The Emirates Environmental Group today launched its CARTOONA CLUB campaign which is essentially a Tetrapak recycling project which seeks active involvement from school children . As a long standing member of EEG , I was chosen as an ?eco-guardian? and project co-ordinator of the ?Tetra-pak recycling project ?  from my school alongwith two other children. We took an oath at the launch ceremony to actively pursue this noble venture .As a first step we would install the two tetra-pak recycling bins in my school . Under the guidance of our Eco Club teacher , we will then encourage all students to take part in recycling. Tetrapak is highly suitable for recycling and can be recycled to form notebooks , tissue holders etc. The work towards a green future requires a team effort and this particular endeavour seeks to fulfil just that by widening the knowledge and effort base , thereby building a wider consensus .
