As Rainbow is the mixture of seven different colors, a music is melodious when it has all the high and low notes, garland looks beautiful when made from different flowers so is the diversity of the planet. This is why we can say that difference is what makes our blue planet alive. As evolution hypothesis given up by our ancestors, existence is believed to be established from the biomolecules proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, lipids. These biomolecules followed successive evolution and are developed into several magnificent creatures. The carnivores, the herbivores, the omnivores, the wild and the domestic, the avian and the reptiles, the Pisces and have the mammal enriched our planet with biodiversity. Panther a Tigris the largest one of the felids family are the assets of the green, thick jungles. They have an orange colored body with black stripes, where distinct black stripes are blue print to each individual of tigers. They are aggressive and solitary animals. The most common preys of the tigers are the deer, antelopes, foxes, wolves and occasionally the domestic animals. They are voracious meat eaters eating up to 36kg of meat when they succeed the killing, they share their kill with females and their cubs. These animals invade their own territories, male making up from 19 to 151 km2 and females up to 61km2. Their mating is on the year around and the species has generation time up to 8 years. there are 9 subspecies of the tiger recorded which are Bengal , Siberian, Indochinese ,south Chinese Sumatran, Malayan , Caspian , javan and Bali, ,amur . These subspecies majorly inhabit south East Asian countries namely Indonesia, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Russia, Vietnam. Among them India has the highest population of the tigers. It is vivid that the people of the 21st century aren’t as much luck as the ones of the 20th century. We haven’t not been fortunate to hear the attacking hisses and the louder roars of the wonder animal tigers. How could it be possible as population of tiger is at a dwindling pace? WWF has already enlisted this animal as the endangered species of the world since only about 3900 are remained in the world while human population claims more than 7 billion. The three subspecies of the tigers namely: Caspian, javan and the Bali are already extinct from the world. No more islands of Bali are treasured for these indigenous Bali tigers similar are the javan and Caspian tigers. Accordingly, the Sumatran, Indochinese lie in the line of extinction which now contributes to less number of tiger population of the world. As a matter of fact, the rising of the human population and rapid encroaching of the land are narrowing the habitat of the wild tigers. The erroneous act of poaching tigers for bone, skin for medicine and ornamental purpose is totally absurd. People still have the concept that tiger are threat to humans. This narrow thinking has led human kill tigers and contributing to extinction of the species. The trade of tiger bones is done for medicines such as painkiller although our scientific innovation has found alternative to it. Using skins for different fashionable dress though chemical engineers have already made the synthetic nylons and leathers. In addition, environment is getting more polluted day by day which is rendering hazardous condition for tigers. Just as human getting ill due to the polluted environment so are they being effected. In the context of our country Nepal, the only subspecies found is the Royal Bengal tiger and are mostly inhabiting the southern parts of Nepal mainly the Chitwan national park, Bardiya, Parsa and the Royal Shuklapanta wildlife reserve. In 2009, there were 121 which has almost doubled become 235 in these ten years. This is a matter of proud for all the Nepalese where accreditation to all those conservationist, forest officers, the veterinarians and wholesome government of Nepal. We have proved to world for succeeding in conserving and promoting the number of tigers. So in near future it may be possible saying that the green jungles of Nepal are home of Bengal tigers. Moreover, the various governmental and non- governmental organization (World Wildlife Fund, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), and TRAFFIC are doing a great work on this platform. These organization are researching on the cause of decreasing tiger population, stopping tiger trade and appointing conservationist, veterinarians for increasing tiger numbers. However people still are unware and believe that tiger are predators of man. It is not the fact that tigers are human predators although we have listened many news about people being killed by tigers. It is because we are narrowing their habitat for our cause. We are cutting down the forest so that we could make our homes, establish industry and develop cities. We are ignoring the fact that we are destroying someone’s home. So it is natural to see tigers wandering, seeking their homes, searching their food and consequence is we become the food. . It is better for us to know that tiger are indicators for wellness of ecosystem. Being the primary predators they help in balancing the number of herbivores population and ultimately the forest of the world. Last not the least, we the humans are the most creative and most talented creature evolved in this world. So why not use our big brains for a good cause. We can follow the guidelines as developed by WWF and participate from individual level. Celebrating, July 29 as World tiger’s day goes meaningless until we don’t have devotion to conserve tigers in our heart. There are plenty of organizations and officials working for conservation where we can collaborate with them. It completely lies in our hands to let diminish them from the world or create the environment where all of us coexist as friends of nature. We can try to protect them if it is not possible at least stop ourselves from harming them. The alarming extinction of these species point toward our extinction. So let us become aware and make other aware. |

Thank you for the nice report about the threatens the tigers are encountered.
I totally agree with you that it's the diversity that makes this planet beautiful.
I looked up for some photos of panther tigris and was fascinated by its enourmous build.
Countries with tigris should take special care to preserve this awesome animal.

It is obvious that without that fauna our biodiversity seems to be naked. so we human being the most creative social animal should focus our keen eyes for the conservation of such animals which are the property of ours.
