[Free Report] World Water Day

by Jaewon Chang | 06-04-2020 14:42 recommendations 0

Water is an integral part of our lives. Whether it is the consumption of freshwater or tapwater to wash our hands, we never go a day without it. Thus, it is inconceivable to imagine a life without the access to freshwater. According to the UN, 2.2 billion people in the world lack access to safe water. In response to this alarming fact, World Water Day was created in hopes of promoting sustainable management techniques of our resources.

World Water Day tackles the 6th Sustainable Development Goal: Water and Sanitation for all. It is an annual event held on March 22. This year, the core focus of the event was investigating the relationship between water and climate change. It was concluded that sustainable usage of water can assist the battle against climate change. Furthermore, one of the keypoints from the World Water Day seminar was the acknowledgement that every person's contribution is necessary for change.

We must recognize the importance of sustainable resource management, especially in the current era (where a pandemic is affecting our globe). Taking measures to conserve water is essential to combat climate change. Ultimately, our everyday actions will drive the future of Earth.

Hi Jaewon Chang, this is a mentor Sang Su Lee.

Thank you for sharing the world event regarding water. Biological living things always need water. There is non-exception. However, drinkable water is slowly disappearing and this is indeed a serious problem. Through this event, I hope people have opportunity to think about their usages of water.

    Cheers!

Hello Jaewon, this is mentor Taehyun.

Thank you for the report about world water day. Water is a really essential factor in our daily lives as you said! Recently, more and more land becomes arid desert and that makes people in those regions hard to get water, and because of global warming, longer drought continues and that also makes other regions people hard to get water. So, we have to reduce our water consumption and try to find better technology with water supply!

    Thank you for the report!

    Green cheers!
