Free report, April. Environmental Education

by Vazira Ikhtiyorova | 09-04-2021 01:52 recommendations 0

Dear all,

Hope you are doing well. I have thought a lot about the topic for the free report. Finally, I came up with an idea to integrate environmental education as a part of educational process.

What do I mean by integration? Studying at Webster University taught many new terms like global citizenship, and many more. Yet, during the public speaking class, our professor expressed his interest about the environmental issues. I was over the moon to hear that despite having a tough schedule, he copes with managing a huge project in both official languages such as Uzbek and Russian languages.

He indicated students how he gave up using plastic bags and replaced with something usable many times. All students were surprised to know that he is teaching it to his family first! Also, what was the most interesting part is how he started teaching environmentalism through comics! He drew different pictures with comics and made our national Uzbek hero to show. Yet, some officials didn't approve that the idea of making comics come from the west and it may not be right to implement it in Asian culture.

I wonder what is bad in teaching environmental educational awareness through interesting and attractive photos? I strongly believe that integrating new innovations and interactive ways of expressing thoughts and ideas! I am curious about our fellow ambassadors, what do you think about this? How would you solve this? Hope I could convey, thanks!

    Heyy Vazira,
The steps he has taken are very important to improve the society's environmental consciousness! I am still using unresuable plastic bags... I want to try and educate myself and my family on climate change and the impact of having an eco-friendly lifestyle! What I didn't understand is the comics part, what are they and how does their origins make a difference?
    Keep writing!!

    Hi Vazira,

This is your mentor Debbie. :)

Teaching and educating about the environment is actually one of the most important steps in order to keep sustainability because only in this way we can let the future generations realize the importance of saving the environment! Personally I felt that ¡°integration¡± was a key word in your report. We should put education in a more engaging way as you??ve said, so that we can attract the audience and truly let students know about a topic.

Thanks for an informative article. ;)

    Green Cheers,

Debbie

    Hi Vazira,
    this is your mentor Yuseon:D

I am not sure if I understood your report perfectly. If I understood right, I believe you have learned the importance of environmental education due to your class in your university. Are you asking if sharing environmental issues with attractive photos and comics is a problem? I believe it could be one of the many ways to express the importance or 'storytelling' of the problems we have faced and how to solve them.

I'm not sure if this was the question you have asked on the last part of your report;(
Hope to read more on your insights,
    Yuseon
