Green Architecture and the Environment

by Vazira Ikhtiyorova | 09-04-2021 03:52 recommendations 0

Dear all,

Hope you are doing well. I really like the given topics which make me do a research and learn more about the environment related topics. Hence, today I wanted to combine possible options. Hope it will be interesting for you all.

First and foremost, let's define what does the green architecture mean. This a special approach which tries to diminish environmental effect on human beings and all the alive creations, let's say. By building different buildings, it is important to use eco-friendly materials not to harm or pollute in order not to take it granted like we used to:)

I would like to mention that there are special goals to be achieved in the end of the green architecture. Yet in order to achieve below-mentioned goals we need to have a big amount of money to construct obviously, but it is worth spending. What do you think though?

Let me share with you what I found:
  • Life cycle assessment.
  • Siting and structure design efficiency.
  • Energy efficiency.
  • Water efficiency.
  • Materials efficiency.
  • Indoor environmental quality enhancement.
  • Operations and maintenance optimization.
  • Waste reduction.
During reading the posts by fellow ambassadors, I wrote in the comments that we do not have or I have not heard regarding Green Building Council of Uzbekistan. However, guess what:) There is a special Council which made me happy to know!

As I always say, education is a cornerstone of everything. Hence, having been familiarised, the council has taken an action by Green Schools of Uzbekistan for secondary and high school students. Also, council started promoting various projects in large-scales events such as conferences, summits, exhibitions!

In terms of the examples of green architecture, I would not say too much as it is still being developed. Hence, there are many mud houses in rural ares which people reside since a long time. It doesn't take much time, financial side, and the most important is less harmful for the environment we live in!

Moreover, there are new houses are being build by different companies like Murad Buildings, Golden House which strive to build smart-houses and surround them in a proper way with greenery based architecture. Hope I could convey, thanks!

    Hi Vazira,

This is your mentor Debbie. :)

Reading your report made me curious about what exactly the Green Schools of Uzbekistan for secondary and high school students are doing! But anyways, definitely we should consider the factors mentioned in your article. These will affect the environment.

Hopefully people would be more aware of the importance of green architecture! Good job with the article. :)

    Green Cheers,
    Debbie

    Hi Vazira,
    This is your mentor Yuseon:D

All of the examples you have shared with us actually goes into the method of 'Passive method' of making an zero-energy building. Its intention is to 'use well' with the limited resources and energy.

Like you have mentioned in the last part, architectures with a little bit of greenery is a hot issue in this area. Even people who live in urban places tend to love nature and greenery. But since they can't give up the city life, people choose to add a little bit of 'nature' on their houses. This is also good for the environment, too.

    Keep up the good work:)
