Free report: Afraid of my chilly plant future in Paklihawa

by Asmita Gaire | 01-05-2021 02:25 recommendations 0

When it comes to environment and nature, everyone is fond spending time on it. When it comes vacation, the first thinking that comes to people mind is visiting the greenary places or hills or rivers or mountains or other nature places for refreshment. When the vacation is not longer enough for travel or you don't have enough money to make long your, the visit is quite restricted, however most of the people gets engaged themselves into some refreshing activities that commonly indulge nature with no doubt.

In my society, most of the people have habit of plantation or gardening in the leisure time or in vacation. After I completed my last semester exam, I also dig and prepared a field for plantation. I had sowed chilly seeds in the garden. The sprout of the chilly seeds had just started to take a shape; my vacation ended and I had to move to another city for my smart village programme.

However, my friends and sisters of the hostel took care of it, and the chilly plant was ready for transplantation when I return hostel. I along with my friends visited the college farm for manure and I prepared the field and transplanted the chilly, and I used to water it on daily basis.

I was so delighted and hopeful that the chilly would grow into a plant. Unfortunately, I had to leave the hostel again, due to corona crisis. Some of the sisters who were in hostel because of exam watered the plants daily, but they also had to leave the hostel when Nepal announced lockdown. My chilly plants are now left alone in the scorching sun of April.

There are almost 20 plants now, however these plants could no longer receive water from his caretaker since there's no one in college. The plants also can't receive natural water since it's April and it's the season where water sources get dry and there's scarce rainfall but scorching sunshine.

Everytime, when the sun shines with extreme heat, the leaves of my chilly plant must had burnt, the stem must have got weaken, the roots just have shrunken so does my heart. I never hoped I would get so attached to these plants, but the feelings is uncontrollable and is unconditional. I am afraid of my chilly plants that's living alone in the dry place of Paklihawa.

    Hi Asmita,

This is your mentor Debbie. :)

The story about your chilly plant is so sad :( The worst part is that there??s no one to blame - because of the pandemic, there was no way that you or your sisters to take care of the plant. I can??t imagine how disappointed you would??ve been when you had to leave the hostel again.

Maybe you could try planting one near where you are right now, not near your college? I??m not sure if that??s a viable option, but it??s just a suggestion. Good luck with planting!! Thanks for sharing too. :)

    Green Cheers,
    Debbie
