Nowadays environmental jobs have become more and more popular in Kazakhstan due to promoting recycling and green living by the government. According to many statistics and magazines, environmental engineering will be demanding in the future. Therefore, many young people are encouraged to study ecology. 

Firstly, many universities in Kazakhstan offer a specialty in ecology and many students can study in this program. They teach mainly about the development of economic sectors in the areas of environmental protection, environmental impact assessment, laboratory studies of the level of environmental pollution, advisory services to the public on environmental issues, environmental monitoring, and scientific research in the field of ecology. Most alumni go to research. Others, according to universities’ information, work as consultant-ecologist. 

Apart from these jobs, we have volunteers, who promote recycling and zero-waste principles. Also, many volunteers go to plant trees in April. In Kazakhstan, we have subbotnik, which is voluntary collective work. Every April, people collect their yard, around the yard from trashes and plant trees. In school, we do the same things. Our school students go to school on Saturday and collect trashes in the yard of the school and plant trees. It is believed that, thus, we can be more aware of our ecology. I planted a tree with my hand. Although it was hard physical work, It made me satisfied and happy because I am proud that I planted a tree. 

Also, the main achievement of Kazakhstan in the field of ecology is the exhibition of Expo-2017. The main topic of Expo-2017 is the usage of Alternative energy. Now the building of Expo-2017 is the center of Nur-Sultan. When people come from other cities, they visit The Sphere - Museum of The Future(Nur-Alem). Thus, the topic of alternative energy and its exhibition become famous in our country.
