Dear Colleagues,
As part of the implementation of the Digital Access to Research (DAR) programme of the United Nations Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries, a ¡°training of trainer¡± workshop will be organized at the University of Rwadna- Huye Campus from 27 to 28 June 2019.
The purpose of the workshop is to raise awareness about the Research4Life platform and to provide training on how to access and use the platform. Research4Life is the collective name for five research programmes (managed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO)), which provide developing countries with free or low-cost access to academic and professional content online.
It is our belief that access and use of the material on the R4L platform will increase the quality and effectiveness of research in the fields of agriculture, related biological and social sciences, development and innovation, health, environment, legal sciences, which would contribute to achieving the 2030 Agenda
In view of this, I would like to request you to share this information to your friends who may be interested to attend the workshop. Participants should register online for the workshop at the following link: https://bit.ly/2Jr09e6.
Tea/coffee and lunch will be provided during the workshop. For non-local participants, costs related to travel and accommodation will be covered by the programme.
Further details about the workshop are provided in the attached concept note. Should you have any questions, please contact Kabou Kambou Kadio: kkadio@gmail.com or Chantal Kabanda Dusabe: kabchanto@gmail.com.
Best regards,
