After mysterious deaths of Elephants in Botswana; there's another very heart pricking news on biodiversity. Now, target is pilot whale at Macquarie Heads off the coast of Tasmania.. Yes, pilot whales in Tasmania, Australia were found stranding in the sea shores. Almost 400 pilot whales were found dead. This has drawn attention of every concerned authorities. This is really the biggest matter of concern as well.

Researchers are predicting different hypothesis for it's cause. They are assuming it might have happened due to misadventures. Pilot whales may have missed their direction while swimming. Another hypothesis is, it might be because of not definite coast line of the Tasmania sea. They have also made hypothesis, it might be because they were traveling for food and got left stranded. It might also be because of disturbance in the magnetic material in whales brain that has distorted them during navigating.

What about climate change?
Marine biologists have also focused the cause might be because of climate change, since sea water temperature is being increased in extreme amount. In the same way, it gets cooler very rapidly. This misbalance may have created whales to travel to the water with fruitful temperature for them.

After this incidence, many conservationist rescued numbers of whales back to the sea. However, some of those rescued whales died because of starvation. They were found to be very tired and starved. Many conservationist as well as local people are assisting these stranded whales to get back into the sea.

More than ever, the climate change effects have been so visibly seen in biodiversity; it's really a time for action.

    Hello Asmita,
    this is your mentor WooJoo.

    Warm greetings from South Korea.
Thank you for sharing such an informative report.
It is really heart breaking, and so sad to hear that numerous pilot whales were found dead.
I can't say that it happened 100% because of climate change because we don't have a proof yet,
but I believe that some part of it has to do with climate change.
Marine animals are losing their home and food, and the change in temperature in water and tons of plastics might are disturbing their ways to find food.
Biodiversity is a gift, so we should start acting together!

    Green cheers!

    Sincerely,
    WooJoo

    Thank you for sharing.
It is so heartbroken to see all these animals died like this.

Talking about the pilot whale, is it the same whale that being largely killed in Faroe Island??? These animals have come to the end of their existence, I wish they stop doing the killing ritual.
