Sometimes I feel scary. If there's no more tomorrow, why are we trying to get better job, save money in bank accounts? Protecting the environment is a really important matter for all human being for their survive.

I also love the phrase " the future is bleak and horrible in the future". It clearly shows what's going to happen in the future if we do not change our behaviors...

Thanks Fagbohun! I could surely follow your advice.. In fact, I'm participating in some of them such as reading a lot about climate change and recycling :)

Thank you Fagbohun! I was looking over what you wrote and thought of some things too. Our school gives students to participate in a recycling drive once in a while and our church cleans up the neighboring streets at the end of every month. I participate in them to make the world GREEN!

    1. Serve as the catalyst in your community or region for educating diverse audiences
about environmental stewardship, sustainable development, and the green
workforce - its expanding size, capacity, and versatility.
    2. Reduce your institution??s carbon footprint. Appoint a task force or coordinating
committee to conduct a comprehensive greenhouse-gas emissions inventory,
identify efficiency problems, and develop strategies for addressing them.
    3. Make sustainability a defining feature of campus culture and a guiding principle
for management, planning, resource allocation, programming, research, and
    professional development.
    4. Join forces with leading green community colleges or existing regional/national
collaboratives to avoid reinventing the wheel. Draw on their expertise and
experiences and access their resources on best practices and strategies, innovative
teaching methods and curricula, technical support, and networking opportunities.

    5. Tell your story on campus, in the community, and in the media. Promote your
college??s sustainability initiatives and green workforce development programs to
help generate enthusiasm and support among students, faculty, staff, alumni,
    policymakers, the community, and potential.

IN WHAT WAYS AS A COLLEGE,HIGHSCHOOL,UNIVERSITY LEADER HAVE CONTRIBTED TO ENSURE A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE??.PLEASE SHARE??.

TOP FIVE WAYS YOU AND I CAN STOP CLIMATE CHANGE.
I believe the issues that concerns climate change should not be the sole responsibility of the government alone, You and I need to play our part to reduce the effect of the greenhouse gases. Below are top 5 ways we can contribute our quota to ensure reduction in the effect of the green house gases.
    1. GET INFORMED: Ignorance is bad disease. We need to educate ourselves on the issues that concerns climate change, We need to read articles, follow solutions that are been proffered to the issues of climate change and also contribute our quota. The internet is a fantastic avenue and medium for getting ourselves informed, There are websites online like www,tunza-ecogeneration,org and also social media platform we can utilize to achieve getting informed on issues of climate change.
    2. SUPPORT, VOLUTEER AND DONATE: You can join support group in your locality and your community to fight for this course, you can also volunteer for various organizations like the Tunza eco generation which I am presently an ambassador and having a scintillating moment belonging to this forum, you can also donate which should not necessary be money. you can donate your time to educate people, friends, your community members, peers on ways to stop climate change.
    3. EAT WISELY: It has been said that 18% of greenhouse gases comes from meat and other diary production, Knowings this we need to patronize locally grown foods which is more healthy and highly nutritious we can also find alternatives to red meat like our vegetables.
    4. TRIM YOUR WASTE:We need to recycle our waste to prevent the production of methane, When we consume a product we should find a way to dispose off the pack or container, having such attitudes helps contribute our quota to stopping climate change and the reduction to the production of green house gases.
    5. BE ENERY EFFICENT:I have a fantastic article by my fellow ambassador there on how to be energy efficient. Unplugging Computers and other electronics not in use must be ensured, making sure we switch off the air conditioner when it is not in use.
DO YOU KNOW ABOUT OTHER WAYS YOU AND I CAN STOP CLIMATE CHANGE???..PLEASE SHARE.
