Lifecycle of forest and why it is important

1.how is forest created?_00
Forest supplies us with oxygen and water and is a source of useful natural resources like timber. It is also a habitat of various living creatures ranging from frog, salamander, squirrel, birds and all sorts of insects to big animals. Then a question arises, is forest, an indispensable part of the ecosystem, existed from the beginning of the earth? Let's find out how forest has evolved.
In the beginning, there was no plant in the forest and it looked like a barren desert. However this started to change as annuals occupied the area and proliferate. Then perennials took over, multiplying by taking roots and bearing fruits. 1.how is forest created?_01

In the beginning, there was no plant in the forest and it looked like a barren desert. However this started to change as annuals occupied the area and proliferate. Then perennials took over, multiplying by taking roots and bearing fruits.
Next comes shrub that grew over perennials and blocked the sun, taking their place ultimately. Finally tall trees that require more sun come in, taking nutrients from decomposed annuals, perennials and shrubs. This is how the 'succession of forest' works, and this natural process is designed to change the surroundings of animals or plants in a way that an ecological equilibrium can be found.

2.Why is forest so important?_00
2.Why is forest so important?_01 As illustrated above, forest offers numerous benefits to us. Yet we do not fully appreciate this and go on destroying forest by mercilessly demolishing forest to build golf range or spraying excessive dosage of pesticides. We would be making a grave mistake if we continue on this reckless act.
