[Africa bulletin] Why are we cutting without planting?

In this day and age, one would expect that traditional energy sources such as charcoal and firewood have become archaic. Yet in some ares in East Africa, these are still the main sources of energy. The worst part is that when those who use these sources of energy, they do not think about the impact it may have on the future generations. Global warming is real we cannot close our eyes and pretend we don't see. It is up to the current generation to sensitize our communities on the importance of maintaining our indigenous forests and practisisng activities such as agroforestry and reafforestation. If we don't make a change today, who will?

That's right. I once had thought of legislation of a law about cutting-planting matching system. We are losing enormous quantities of trees every minute even this moment.
