The Miracle of 60 minutes Saturday, on the last week of March. In 2007, the Earth Hour movement of turning off lights for the erath began at 8:30pm for 60 minutes in Australia. 3 messages of the Earth Hour Movement. 1. Break time for the Earth. 2. Time for realizing the seriousness of climate change and environmental destruction. 3. Time for thinking about harmounious coexistence of humans with the Earth. Sombody might ask, An average of 4% of energy consumed by 10 countries in the world is conserved in just 60 minutes. On hte last Saturday of March, 178 countries participated in the Earth Hour Movement. On this single day, 2,427,929 notable events occurred to combat climate change. In Seoul, in 2015, 7 million KWh of electrivity and 3,131 tons of CO2 were reduced by public institutions alone during 60 minutes. This is said to be equivalent to planting 1.12 million trees. What if 10 million people were to simultaneously turn off electric products around them? Even just turning off the lights is said to be equivalent to one nuclear reactor disappearing.
