The menace of Air Pollution

Air pollution is a huge menace. Facts and figures are alarming regarding the issue.
In 2013, a report by Global Burden of Disease (GBD) said that outdoor air pollution was the 5th largest killer in India. According to a World Health Organization (WHO) study, Delhi has surpassed Beijing and is currently the most polluted city in the world. This puts its people at a dangerous risk of respiratory diseases.

Very minimalistic approaches such as a reduced use of vehicles, avoiding unnecessary burning of garbage, potential use of all resources availed to us and energy conservation in general. Air pollution is turning out to be a perpetual problem.By raising awareness and motivation, there is a possibility of purifying air quality upto 15%. It is important that people realise the true potential of clean air and how essential it is for our existence.

Awareness about what causes air pollution and it¡¯s significant gains help change the widespread perception of air pollution. Many people are aware but don't have the desire to pursue control of pollution. Others don¡¯t have means to do so. We need to encompass all domains so that people can exercise their right to keep the air clean. To motivate people, it is essential that recognition is given to others who initiate in harnessing environmentally beneficial activities. Additionally, community services to provide the poor and uneducated the knowledge about what they do wrong that causes air pollution should be invested in.
