Global Climate Change

by Jasmine Karki | 07-02-2020 18:19 recommendations 0

Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier than it should , plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner.Global climate change have observable effects on our environment. All those effects that had been predicted by the scientist in the past are now occurring as a result of global climate change.

The green house gases produced by human activities have largely played the role to increase the global temperature. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which includes more than 1,300 scientists from the United States and other countries , forecasts a temperature rise of 2.5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit over the next country.

The IPCC states " the range of published evidence indicates that the net damage costs of climate change are likely to be significant and to increase over time."

The temperature will continue to rise , frost free season will lengthen, more droughts and heat waves are likely to get intensified, hurricanes will become stronger and more intense, sea level will rise 1-4 feet by 2100, artic is expected to become essentially ice free. Earth's average temperature has increased about 2 degrees Fahrenheit during 20 th century . Two degrees may sound like a small amount, but this small difference can be the cause of enormous changes in the environment. The global climate change problem change problem will continue through this century and beyond unless timely actions are not taken.

Green Climate Solutin - the Wageningen Environmental Research Programme , applies our understanding of nature and natural processes to address the challenges of climate change. Likewise, Nature-based climate adaptation is much more than single solutions to single problem. This represents a golden oppurtunity by increasing our understanding of nature and natural processes so that we can work with water and nature to adopt to the changing climate.

Last but not the least, different initiations and hand to hand collaborations of each and every individuals is the must to solve this global climate change.

Yours small step can be huge,
lets be united to solve this nature!!!

Green cheers!!!
