Dear All Eco-generation Friends,
As environmental enthusiasts, you may all know by now that April 22nd is the annual Earth Day.
Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970 and now it has grown to more than 1 billion people participating in more than 193 countries around the world.
According to Earthday.org, in the year 2020, Earth Day has gone digital due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Please celebrate this year's Earth Day with TUNZA Eco-generation by participating in one of the activities below. Since this year's Earth Day theme is climate change, we will pick the most thoughtfully written report and let them choose one book from "13 Must-read Books on the Environment and Climate Change" and send it to them as prize. (Please note that your address will be required if you are chosen.)
Earthrise: SAVE
Speak Up - Express your ideas in the most safest way possible - online. Share with us your actions whether big or small. What is it that motivates you to fight for our environment? What are some of the actions you are currently taking in order to protect it? Use this as an opportunity to think deeply about the reasons why you are in this fight.
Act - Everything begins with an action. This year's Earth Day celebrates its 50th year. Visit Earthday.org and follow @earthdaynetwork to find out the 24 actions you can take for the environmnet. Tell us which one suits your situation and how you managed to take this action.
Vote - Did you know that more than 65 countries host major elections this year? Let your voice be heard by those leaders who will defend our Earth. Send them a message or tweet them about your ideas about planetary health. These concerns should be one of the top priorities to the politicians.
Educate - Education is also going digital. In order for us to teach our youngsters about the environment, it is important that we acquire fresh knowledge. Tune in during the 24 hours on Earth Day and learn about what the world's influencers have to say. They will share their experience as well as expertise - for more complete information please refer to the EarthDay website.
As aforementioned, we ask our TUNZA Eco-generation members to participate in this year's Earth Day by taking one of the above actions (SAVE) and write a report about it at Resources>World Report Tab.
* Please DO NOT upload your report at Ambassador Report Tab.
* Only those reports titled [Earth Day] will be counted.
Submission Deadline is April 30th 2020.
We look forward to reading about the creative ways you've celebrated this 50th Earth Day!
