Green New Year

by Xilola Kayumova | 17-02-2018 19:09

Hello dear ambassadors and members of Tunza Eco Generation,
I wish you a very Happy New Year. May all your dreams come true and may we all achieve a better, an even greener planet in 2018.
In the last days of 2017, I called a few friends and told them to wait for me in our lyceum's caffeteria. I was preparing a speciThey told me that no one is in the lyceum and told me that they also had to leave. I said I already bought the presents for kids and that they have to wait only until I get there.
I arrived in the lyceum and found out that most of my friends left. We headed towards the 55th school in Asaka district, but the staff didnt let us come in. I only had 2 friends left, but one friend, Maluda said that she is very late and she has to go home. So, she left me and Umida alone. Then we decided to go and celebrate New Year with my sister. We went to the 57th school in the Asaka district. It was the last day of school and  there weren't many students left. (Only 10) However, we did not give up)
I prepared only 7 presents and I was plannning to give them to the most active students in 2017, but due to the holiday, my plans changed. It meant that only 3 girls would not get a present. I would feel very sad if I were one of those 3 girls... It was almost New Year and I didnt want to make anyone upset. So, I got 6000 Uzbek soums, and wrapped 3000 soums with a red ribbon and the other 3000 soums with a blue ribbon. In my lyceum, I was one of the most active leaders in 2017 and  my teacher gave me a book. I looked at the book and said: "Maybe I will be able to read you some other day, but today, you have to make someone happy" and put it on the table with the other gifts.
After all the gifts were shown to the students and after meeting my friend Umida, we explained what they had to do in order to get presents. We wanted everyone to work very hard and we said that only one student will be left without a present. We started playing the games and all of them tried to be very active.

First of all, they had to introduce themselves. They all stood up and introduced themselves. Then, Umida gave them personal questions like: Where do you want to study? What do you want to do in the future? Why? Tell me about your biggest dream!  and so on. Those who answered her questions without any stutter got 1 point.
Then, we got 10 pieces of paper and wrote 3 words in each one. This was the most exciting game we had. Each student had 50 seconds to describe 3 words without using any sounds or facial expressions. It was the game of Charades. The student who found 1 right answer got 1 point. At the end, if a student could describe 3 words, she got 3 points. If 2, then 2 points. We wrote basic English words such as: box, monkey, TV, book and etc. The funniest part was when one girl picked the paper and the first word was Father. It was actually me who wrode that word and I knew that she wouldnt be able to show it. We could not stop ourselves from laughing and it was very fun. Although it was a hard word to describe without a sound, Muslima could do it. She described only 1 word, father, and got 1 point. This way, we continued our game.
I decided to have a little break and made everyone, even Umida sit down. I started talking about my ambassadorship, Tunza Eco Generation and all the thing we had done with this platform. I told them that it was very generous of TEG to let me extend my term even though I was a very bad ambassador on the 18th term. I told them about what I have achieved through sharing knowledge and encouraged them to do the same.
Third, we played musical chairs. We separated them into 2 groups of 5 and started playing the game with the first group. In the first group, Omina was the winner. Then came up the second group, where the winner was Mubina. We had to find 1 winner so Mubina and Omina played for the final decision. The winner was Omina and she got 3 points, while Mubina got 2 points.
All in all, we had great fun. We played educational and entertaining games and most of all, gave a smile to childrens faces.
