Neutral Fuels is an international clean technology based company founded in 2006 to build sustainability strategies for the logistics, energy and hospitality industries; the company focuses on reductions in energy and CO2 emissions. The company has a facility to convert used cooking oil into biodiesel, a sustainable replacement for fossil diesel.

In February 2012 Neutral Fuels, jointly with McDonald’s UAE, won the 2011 Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport in the Environmental Protection category from the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA). In April 2012 their client, Keystone Foods / Allied Keystone Logistics (UAE), was named Planet Champion in the Logistics Category of McDonald’s Global Best of Green 2012 Awards and won a Best of the Best Award for our UAE biodiesel initiative.

Neutral Fuels processes millions of liters of used cooking oil into biodiesel every year. Biofuel is fresh, modern, clean and sustainable. Neutral Fuels is the first licensed bio-refinery in the UAE.

DPS Sharjah emerged as the winners, bagging the First Place in the Blue Used Cooking Oil Collection Campaign which ran from November 2016 to April 2017, inviting students, teachers and the entire school fraternity to wholeheartedly take part in the campaign, by bringing the used cooking oil that they have used twice in plastic bottles and putting it in the Blue bins in the school.

DPS Sharjah’s presentation titled, ‘From Roots to Results’ won much appreciation. The oil that was given to the Blue Co. by every school, was converted into  Bio-Diesel, which will help to divert carbon emissions from the air and reduce air pollution and tackle climate change. DPS Sharjah submitting a total of 110 liters of cooking oil, out of the grand total of 167 liters collected by the campaign and our efforts were duly recognized during the results announcement.
