Hello fellow friends! Well, it is a kind of late but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2018! So, today I?m going to talk about ?alternative energy?. Until now, human relied on fossil fuels that didn?t stop coming out from Earth. But, now it is starting not to come out. There are three types of fossil fuels which can all be used for energy provision which are coal, oil and natural gas.

Fossil fuel made our life comfortable. We can use electricity as we want, technology has developed thanks to fossil fuel. But, there are lots of cons too. Fossil fuels generally consist of carbon. When we burn fossil fuel, carbon and all these toxic chemicals go up to the Ozone layer that protects our Earth from the strong radiation of the sun. These chemicals destroy the Ozone, and that?s why Earth?s temperature is increasing and ?Global Warming?. They?re also unsustainable. Luckily, these days sustainable energies are being used actively in this world.

Next, I?ll introduce some of the most popular alternative energies. At first, Wind power. Wind energy is made when the turbine blades rotate. While rotation, they convert into electricity. Long ago, wind towers/mills were only used for different reasons such as pumping water, crushing grains. 

Second, Solar power. When the radiation/ray of the sun reaches to the solar cells in the solar panel, they convert to electricity. It?s mostly used for heating, cooking. There are lots of inventions related with using the ray or heat of the sun. 

At the third, Hydroelectric energy. Almost 70% of water surround the Earth. Why don?t we use them by alternative energy? Using the water?s tidal power, kinetic energy they convert it into electricity which is very interesting. Also, water that was used for making electricity can be reused.

These alternative energies may have cons, but most people are pursuing these ideas. They think that they would rather use these alternative energies to earn electricity and stop one of the reasons why global warming is happening. We have to work out to stop these reasons so global warming will harm us no more.
