[May Free Report] Visit to the Coastal Areas of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia

by Baekjin Kim | 26-05-2023 22:10

Recently, I have visited the coastal areas in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. I had a chance of looking at the coastal areas of the Middle East, and how it is maintained. Some were maintained well, but there was still trash that flowed from the ocean, or even people who were littering the trash anywhere, just as if it was none of their business.

I have visited other beaches that people did not visit or cared about. However, those areas were also polluted as well. From the images in Google Maps or other systems, it was clean and beautiful. However, it was not the same anymore, as they were all ruined by ignorant people who did not care about the precious nature and the environment that we have been given. The wastes all varied. There were empty chip packages, tons of cigarette ends, etc.

Although this may seem as if it is only affecting the countries that are being polluted, it is not. These tons of garbage follow ocean currents and rotate around the world. This can ultimately pollute the areas that have not been doing anything wrong.

On the other hand, all the coastal areas, or the megacities in these areas did not care about pollution or the environment that is being polluted. For example, Dubai was a very populated city, and the pollution of cars was massive. Although the city is spotlighted with magnificent landscapes by tourists, it had a dark side of it. Eventually, this will affect the carbon emissions level on a global scale, which can affect the countries such as Micronesia.

Some solutions are that every country can reduce their cars, and enforce the laws to create more environmental-friendly transportation, and green architecture. Previously, I focused my article on green architecture. Countries that are developed like the UAE, can enforce more laws to build more eco-friendly buildings. These countries have high infrastructures, which can create a better environment, and expand more to future cities with the support of clean and sustainable transportation as well.
