TUNZA Eco-generation in the local community

Hello, my dear colleagues! My name is Lisa Zaretskaya and I live and study in Taiwan. I would like to draw your attention to my first report.

The presentation at school is my first attempt to promote TUNZA Eco-generation in the local community. It was in Chinese, because in Taiwan all people speak Chinese, and some of my classmates cannot understand English very well. The presentation took place in my school on September 22nd, 2017. It was very difficult to schedule it because we have lessons and exams almost every day. Children are always busy.

At first I explained what TUNZA Eco-generation is, when it appeared, who the members and ?The 19th Eco-generation Regional Ambassadors are. Unfortunately, there is no TUNZA branch in Taiwan, but there are many organizations that deal with environmental issues. For example, one of the biggest organizations is the ?Taiwan Environmental Protection Union? (????????) (http://www.tepu.org.tw/). This organization holds many events and interesting conferences. In November, 2017 I am going to visit an International workshop ?Achievements and Challenges in Conservation of Pacific Salmon in the 21st Century?? (with the help of my parents). I invited my classmates to go with me.  

 I also invited my school mates to an interesting event that is currently taking place in the capital of Taiwan, Taipei. It is ?Wild view Taiwan Film Festival?, which takes place at Taipei Confucius Temple. It is well known that environmental issues have been a major concern of Confucianism, so the film festival seeks to raise awareness on the importance of sustainability and environmental ethics. This year?s Wild View Taiwan Film Festival will present a total of 16 movies about nature and wildlife. The screenings will be followed by seminars on related topics featuring film introductions, unique perspectives, and interaction between the audience and online celebrities, literary critics, and ecologists. I have already watched the film ?Light on Earth?, and my friends and I decided to go to watch a few more movies in September and October, for example, ?Earth - a new wild? and ?The memory of fish?.

 At the end, we discussed how children can help save our planet. I   expressed my ideas, and then we shared our thoughts and experiences. Our teacher was very pleased that my classmates were interested in these serious issues, and she thanked me for my presentation.
