Dear Friends, By this report, I want to get all my friends thinking and commenting about your views over the topic WAS HURRICANE HARVEY CAUSED BY CLIMATE CHANGE Some Important notes Climate change remains a polarizing issue in USA and the views have already divided country. A Cornell University expert agreed that Harvey was caused by a number of meteorological ingredients. The climate change affected the strength and impacts of Harvey by warming the atmosphere and oceans and increasing sea levels. Warmer air is capable of holding more water vapor which in turn means more rainfall. Warm water in the Gulf of Mexico provides a necessary ingredient for storm formation and strengthening. Storm surge flooding along the coast worsens as sea level rises. Whether Hurricane Harvey was caused by climate change, cannot be confirmed but it is prudent to say that climate change worsened it.
