Overpopulation. us!?

by | 01-09-2017 01:34

Yes, currently we have 7. 52 billions human in our mother Earth. 1 dAnd our population is growing larger as we speak. Imagine what will happen in 10 years later? 10 billions of us? It might be a little bit too overpopulated.

Overpopulation is one of the top issues this year 2017.Overpopulation could bring many problems to us.

One of the problems is enhance resources depletion. A study by the UNEP Global Environment Outlookwhich involves 1,400 scientists and five years worth of work to prepare, found that "Human consumption had far outstripped available resources. Each person on Earth now requires a third more land to supply his or her needs than the planet can supply."Furthermore, the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, which is a four-year research effort by 1,360 of the world's leading scientists commissioned to measure the actual value of natural resources to humans and the world, concluded that, "The structure of the world's ecosystems changed more rapidly in the second half of the twentieth century than at any time in recorded human history, and virtually all of Earth's ecosystems have now been significantly transformed through human actions."4

To tackle this problem, renewable energy is one of the main focuses to overcome the overuse of energy as our population grow.5 Today, renewable energy provides only a tiny fraction of its potential electricity output in the United States and worldwide. But numerous studies have repeatedly shown that renewable energy can be rapidly deployed to provide a significant share of future electricity needs, even after accounting for potential constraints.A good news is that renewable energy in Australia generates enough power to run 70% percent of Australian homes.7 This proves that we are moving forward to our future.

Please do share your point of view regarding overpopulation.

Together we make the Earth a greener place. =)
