Energy-efficient buildings are considered one of the most important eco-friendly urban technologies for creating sustainable and environmentally conscious cities. These buildings are designed and constructed with the aim of minimizing energy consumption and reducing environmental impact. By incorporating various features and technologies, energy-efficient buildings contribute significantly to the overall sustainability and livability of urban areas.


Energy-efficient buildings follow several key principles to optimize energy consumption. These principles include effective insulation to minimize heat transfer, efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, utilization of energy-efficient lighting technologies such as LED, integration of renewable energy sources, and implementation of smart controls and automation.
