 I am very fortunate again to be invited to speak about my experience as an environmentalist in the ASEAN Coral Camp in Vietnam. ASEAN Coral Camp is a 4-day camp for selected promising young environmentalists in Vietnam. The camp started off with lectures about the marine area and coral reefs in Vietnam. The 2nd day, when I spoke, I talked about the youth involvement in marine conservation. They also had a beach clean up. Day 3 was exciting as they visited a marine protected area and had a sharing opportunity about MPAs. They also had an opportunity to pitch their project in Day 4 so they can start the changes in their community at once. Overall, the Coral Camp was a very fun and informative activity wherein the bonds of the campers were tied to the ocean, ever raging and strong. Thank you Linh Thao for inviting me! I had fun talking to everyone and sharing my experiences and tips and tricks in mobilizing the youth. |
