Pollution in Lomé

by | 27-07-2017 02:42

Good evening to all, this month the connection in my country is not good enough that is why I could not publish my reports. The population of Togo has relatively strong growth and recent but rapid urbanization. Despite the low greenhouse gas emission rate of 0.02%, the maritime region and more precisely the capital Lome is so polluted. The beach has become a place where some people who do not have a latrine in their houses do their needs, others create wild dumps within a few yards of the waves. The Togolese state, for its part, pollutes the sea with the waste of phosphate thus transforming the color of the sea into yellow. It is written in the Togolese constitution that everyone has the right to live in a healthy environment but it can not be said that the inhabitants of the neighborhoods close to the free zone benefit from this right given the air pollution by the factories. The Togolese town hall does not play major roles in waste management. Given the low purchasing power of the population, rare are those who have subscribed to pre-collection of household waste and the rest of the population throws away any waste its waste (creates a wild dump on open ground Empty, throw waste into gutters or bury them) and some pre-collection companies instead of going to dump waste in intermediate dumps, they prefer to help a certain category of person to use his waste to repack the deventure of their House. Pre-collection agents are exposed to diseases because they do not wear a mask, gloves or boot. If the state can encourage companies that collect and upgrade household waste in certain districts or put in place a good waste collection and recovery policy, I would like to congratulate him. Thank you
