![]() ![]() In a bid to help reduce the impact of climate change on agriculture, mobile phone sets have been distributed to 73 leading farmers of the Kaski district under project of Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) The beneficiaries will get information related to patterns and impact of weather and climate change on crops grown by farmers through agriculture apps. Also meteorological devices like rain-guaze and maximum-minimum thermometer was provided by project to let farmers know their existing weather and climate. This program will help farmer to record daily data and summarize them monthly, annually which will help in years to come to forecast weather so as they could perform agriculture practices. The Agriculture Management Information System of the Department of Water Induced Disaster Prevention under the Ministry of Agricultural Development has handed out the gadgets. This initiative will stress the need for farmers to switch to modern technology for cultivating farming. Now with this, farmers will get their problems related to agriculture resolved through mobile phones.
