Ratification of Togo to the Paris Agreement

Good afternoon ambassadors. As the majority of you already know, Togo is a small country in West Africa bordered on the north by Burkina Faso, on the south by the Atlantic Ocean, on the east by Benin and at The West by Ghana. It is classified as a developing country and has more than seven million inhabitants.He was one of the one hundred and ninety-five countries present at the Twenty-first Conference of the Parties, which took place in France from 30 November to 12 December and brought together more than four thousand people. The Paris agreement is the first text elaborated by all the countries of the planet. As a reminder, the Paris Agreement was adopted on twelfth December two thousand and fifteen in Bourget, signed on the twenty-second of April two thousand sixteen in New York and entered into force on November 4 of the same year.The objective set by this major agreement is to stabilize global warming at the surface of the earth below two degrees Celsius by two thousand one hundred and my country Togo has committed to reduce by thirty-one point fourteen percent Its emission rate in two thousand and thirty in the different sectors: energy, agriculture, forestry, health, land use and coastal erosion, while emitting only 0.02%. Togo therefore ratified at the Paris agreement on September 19 two thousand sixteen in New York during the General Assembly of the United Nations. By ratifying this agreement, Togo will benefit from climate funds, capacity building and technology transfer. Thank you
