   Hello dear ambassadors, I hope you are okay. As you know, June is a very special month. In Togo, we celebrate every June 1st the Day of the Tree initiated by the late President GNASSINGBE Eyadema. Then comes the World Environment Day on June 05 (my father's birthday). The theme chosen this year is: "Bringing people closer to nature" and with the slogan "I am for nature". As part of this celebration in Togo, I mobilized the members of the Environment Club of the Baguida High School as well as the secondary pupils of the said school for a reorganization operation of the Mutual Health Center of Baguida. Indeed, the health center is without fencing, surrounded by weeds and sachets coming from the dumps created by the pupils of the CEG to five hundred meters of the hospital which attracted my attention. The center's hygiene assistant had come to help us set up our own health center. World Oceans Day is celebrated around the world every June 08 and this year's theme is "Our Oceans, Our Future". To commemorate this day in Togo, the Club of Friends of Beaches and Oceans (CAPLO) organized this Saturday, June 10th a health and awareness operation on the beach of the Hotel de la Paix. Present at this event was the Minister of Environment and Forest Resources, the US Ambassador to Togo, the Miss Togo 2017, other authorities, students and pupils, members of the NGOs and Associations that make up CAPLO as well as us (Ambassador Eco-generation and OKYD). After the sanitation and speech of the US Ambassador, pupils from the five institutions selected in the Agoè zone for the sanitation contest in the schools met in theater to obtain additional points to be selected as winner of the contest . The minister's speech ended this event. Finally, it is said often that after the rain it is the good weather but in certain districts of Lomé, after the rain, it is very difficult to go home easily. Yesterday in Aného, the neighbors woke up in the sea water which overflowed up on the road because of the rain of yesterday. In the evening, the Minister of the Environment traveled to see for himself the damage of the sea in this zone. Good day to you.
