![]() Good evening. It was 40 years ago that the late President GNASSINGBE Eyadema launched the Tree Day in Togo after observing that it was raining every first day officiers June. On 1 June 2017, despite the lack of rain due to climate change, Ministers, Members of Parliament, the military, members of NGOs and associations and other Togolese citizens from North to South each planted a tree. In his press release, the Minister of Environment and Forest Resources said that this year's theme is "Replanting is ensured by wood and non-wood forest products for present and future generations". To participate also in the reforestation policy of the MERF, I asked two hundred and fifty young plants from the Directorate of Forest Resources and by June 15, its plants will be planted in an area within the High school of Baguida. |
