Every Day is Earth Day

Everyday, the city hall receives a lot of callings. People ask the government service to prune some trees. The reason is that some people do not like how much the tree is growing and so break up the roof of house or even make the area "dirty" due to the falling of the leave.

In light of this, I am developing my university research. As part of the project, I go around my city, following the pruning service truck and staff, and I collect the wood residue.

The idea is to use wood residues to the manufacturing of sustainable products such as office objects and toys.

Through this, the landfill is less used for the deposit of wood residue which is a waste of space. In addition, some people sometimes burn up the wood residues. Therefore, by reusing the wood residue, less carbon dioxide is released to the atmosphere and, in somehow, it is a strategy to combat climate change.
