Chittagong-based social organization, Change Makers Foundation (CMF), has taken on a new initiative to distribute eco-friendly and biodegradable sanitary pads to disadvantaged girls. The organization, run by teenagers, has been engaged in social activities to empower young people and create positive change in their communities. The initiative to distribute eco-friendly sanitary pads is part of CMF's larger goal to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in their community. The organization believes that access to safe and hygienic menstrual products is a basic right and should not be a luxury that only a few can afford. CMF joined hands with Ogrograhi Foundation to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in their community, particularly when it comes to menstrual health. The partnership was formed as part of the "Bleed With Pride" project, a signature project of Ogrograhi Foundation that was selected in the UN Millennium Fellowship. CMF has provided 200 eco-friendly sanitary pads as part of the Millennium Fellowship project distribution, which aims to tackle SDG 5 - Gender Equality - by ensuring that girls have access to safe and eco-friendly menstrual products.  In a statement, a representative of CMF said, "We believe that every girl deserves access to safe and hygienic menstrual products, regardless of their socio-economic status. Our distribution campaign aims to provide sustainable and eco-friendly menstrual products to girls in need, while also raising awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene and environmental sustainability." CMF's initiative to distribute eco-friendly sanitary pads is a shining example of how young people can lead the way in promoting sustainable and equitable practices in their communities.
