![]() ![]() Hello.Water is a molecule composed of dihydrogen and oxygen. It has the chemical formula H2O and has a whitish color in the pure state. The sources of water pollution differ from one area to another due to the chemical components of the subsoil and human activities. According to the United Nations, more than 80% of the wastewater resulting from human activities is discharged into the river or the sea without any pollution control. In Togo, every Saturday, millions of people do laundry and these wastewater are dumped into gutters and destined for the sea if the gutters are not clogged by the plastic bags or are on the basement and The chemicals that make up the detergents penetrate the soil, polluting the groundwater. Due to poor management of household waste that ends up either at the beach or piled up in the ground have effects on the water. Intense use of chemicals and pesticides also contribute to water pollution. Unfortunately, debates on this problem in order to involve the population in finding solutions to reduce the pollution rate are rarely organized by the actors of the field and NGOs.
