![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Paper is a very crucial thing to our human because we wrote down many invaluable information on paper. We can pass by knowledge to our future generation through papers. However, only few people think about other ways to produce paper instead of using wood. A group of men named Tho, Ha and Thang from Hoi An, Vietnam thought about utilizing coconut trees? parts to make produce paper. The process of producing this kind of paper is quite complicated. They need to chop some parts of coconut tree into small pieces, cook them and then rub into further small pieces. After that they need to do some more steps to make the prepared materials into paper. After testing and doing experiments for many times, they finally came up with their own brand paper – Nipa. Nipa paper can be used to make lanterns, to print or draw on. Thanks to the plain characteristics, many pictures or art works are expressed on the paper successfully. From the materials that seem to be useless, they became such beautiful and useful papers. Now, Nipa papers are sold in many places from the southern to the northern of Vietnam. The group creating Nipa paper really hopes this is a best chance for them to inspire people reuse and recycle all the materials as well as protect national values in an unique manner. |
