Report Of 2nd LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING ON ENVIRONMENT (LDTE) Jan 6-7, 2017 (Poush 22-23, 2073, West Chitwan)
Organized By: Ujyaalo Nepal 1. Forewords from Organizer
Coordinating program from root to apex isn't easy job which need lots of guts and for that tonnes of thanks to Sujan Adhikari for the huge support and courage and all the facilitators whose priceless efforts, patience and dedication that led to successful conduction of program. The most about this Leadership Development Training is that students learned how to boost up themselves to release all fear, to shine brilliantly to recognize their own unique flaws in between the mass of different faces. There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in, so my goal to conduct this program is to shape their future. The list of school all belongs to my own village where the world welcomed me to live life but as I moved away from my village I learned that we may feel very secure in the pond where we are in, but if we never venture out of it we will never know such a thing as a ocean and a sea. This is my step not to let them face the pathetic situation of outer world as I did. In the present context, climate change is the burning issue, so where to start to stop it? I believe child is the father of man who got the pursuit of truth and beauty, the future leaders! So we need to teach them first. They acted on different plans which were amazing beyond my expectations. I am looking forward where they will be working on future plans on their own school. 2. Introduction of Program:
Leadership Development Training on Environment (LDTE) was 2 days intensive program on environmental leadership which brought 50 students from around 6 private and government schools of West Chitwan on a common platform to create future leaders who can raise their voice and activities to mitigate Climate Change and other burgeoning environmental issues.

5.1 Words from Participants
a. Thoughts of Kirtan Dhakal, Milan English School Participant, Milan English School, MilanChowk Class 8 I felt proud to attend 2nd Leadership Development Training organized by Ujjayalo Nepal and Tunza Eco Generation. It was awesome to spend memorable hours with motivational speakers and I was really eager to lean new stuffs and sharp my leadership skill. Spending times with new faces made me feel better. It was a great pleasure to be a part of drama, singing, notice and solid waste management. I was playing role of a doctor in solid waste management. ERR! It was too realistic and the scripts were too good that made me feel like a real doctor. Overall program was really good. We students got a chance to expose our talents and even sharp those. Er. Sagar Karki Campaigner,Better Chitwan 5.1 Words from Mentor Sagar Karki Nature has given us a lot to cheer about. And it is now just not our responsibility, it has been our necessity to protect our environment. Many people might be/are ¡®aware¡¯, ¡®educated¡¯ and ¡®informed¡¯, but without changing own behavior to (better) protect the environment. We always try to do things in easier way and that too without coming out of our comfort zone. The change has to come from the self. Two days leadership development training program on Environment organized by Ujyaalo Nepal is a wonderful effort that has successfully conveyed positive messages to the young minds through project based learning practices. I¡¯d like to thank Eco-leaders Prakriti Dhakal and Sujan Adhikari for creating this beautiful opportunity to the students of Western Chitwan and making me a part of this prolific event. I was immensely glad with the stirring participation of students who were very much excited to execute the plans into action after going back to school. Big thanks to the effort made by all mentors. Let¡¯s make a promise not to exhibit any hazardous practices that harms our Environment. Educate and practice, that is the only way it can be inculcated into the psyche of every people. And leadership development training program on Environment is one of the best approaches to make it happen. Best Wishes! 5.3 Word from Teacher, Sandesh Ghimire, Kalika English School
Sandesh Ghimire, Teacher , Shree Kalika English BS, Jyotinagar It¡¯s 21 century, the age of communication. If we talk globally, Social relationship holds the key to success on almost all sectors. The perception of people has extended on all barriers of life over the years. Challenges are increasing day by day to earn a balanced life. As a youngster and a teacher I see Leadership Development Training Program a pure benefactor to students as well as all age groups. Back then there was a time when a professional skill (Doctor, Engineer, Pilot, Teacher etc. ) were highly demanded. Entrepreneurship and leadership were not on spotlight even though the society was driven to new heights through those qualities. People were unknown to the fact that leaders can be made unlike all other professionals. I see Leadership Development Training Program as the outcome of this fact. Leadership Development Training Program enhances our ability to communicate. Our existence gets more valuable to the globe. Students can exchange their ideas with each other. They learn to focus on the results of everyday actions they make. They become more responsible towards society. On the issue of our country Nepal, Leadership development training program is very essential. The more leaders our country gains the more it can have innovations and changes. Being a developing country, Nepal needs more and more entrepreneurs and leaders to make sustainable development in required fields. If a citizen learns to be responsible he/she can have a big impact on showing positive direction to the country. I would like to thank Ms. Prakriti Dhakal And Mr Sujan Adhikari for performing Leadership Development Training Program On Environment Organized by Ujyaalo Nepal on 23rd paush 2073 in Shree Kalika English Boarding School, Chitrawan-12, Jyotinagar. It conducted awareness program including Drama on various ways of keeping our environment clean. Students learned to interact on a mass and encountered solution on various environmental pollutions
4. Conclusion LDTE really boosted students with their potentiality to work on environmental field and fight against these burgeoning issues world currently facing. These 2 days went so impactful and successful. Thanks to all mentors, volunteers and participants.
