Since I became an Eco-Generation Ambassador in late 2015, I am glad that there are more people being introduced to the program every three months. I am putting up this short post to let everyone who is on this platform to appreciate being part of the great family. I keep following posts of all ambassadors on SNS and I am happy to say that ambassadors on Tunza are the future of environmental activism in the world. Haven met Bind Bhandari, Arushi Madam, Luz Bispo, and many more people, when I first joined this platform, I admired to meet some of these great young individuals someday. Eventually, I met Bind during COP22 in Marrakech. The feeling was amazing and it was such a Brest moment for us. Although seeing her in person for the first time, it felt like we have known each there for years. Also, we met up with our friend from France – who works as a climate change activist and human rights advocate. Cecile Pilot had already met with Bind during COP21 and it was great for them to meet again. We spend roughly 30 minutes talking about our lives as activists and how beautiful it is for us to be able to attend such global conference. I remember Bindu saying to us that we all have to be proud of ourselves for being at the COP. We talked about the future of the planet and how climate change has come to be part of everything we do and affecting everything that makes lives possible on Earth. It was a great moment. Right after I left COP, I got to found out that there was another Tunza ambassador at COP. It was so bad I couldn?t meet with him but I am sure Bindu did met him and they had an amazing time. I look forward to meeting all of you and be proud of yourself for being a steward of nature. I pray that more of us gets to meet each other and motivate ourselves to keep up the great work. Also, I will conclude by saying that, Tunza Eco-Generation team does such an incredible work to select their ambassadors. I get surprised each term looking at how some young people demonstrate so much commitment towards environmental transformation and this makes me proud and pushes me to spend more time with children and build them to be the youth I see on Tunza. |
