Why I wanted to introduce this story but other books? I want to show that messages related to the environment are not only seen in environment book. In many ordinary stories, will you note the cry of nature, the disadvantages of nature?

The story somehow blames human mistakes for the seagull mother. The ships of human made oil-slick on the sea. The mother seagull incidentally was caught by the oil so it is very difficult for her to move wings. After struggling to fly out of the oil, she was going to die soon.

This was the opening part of the story but it indirectly shows the author upset towards human behaviors to nature. Human, due to their income and benefits, destroy the marine habitat of many animals, and drive them to death.

Through introducing this book, I hope we will be more sensitive and considerate to realize our influence on the environment. When I was small, I was very happy to see ships carrying materials cross ocean, farmers bring wood from the forest to build houses. I just took these things for granted, but now, I realize behind these scenes, there are cries and pains of many other creatures that also live on this earth.
