So I was not able to submit my ealier three reports, due to technical problems . But I am here now, with my report on this months topic. Which was to talk about a country, that in my opinion has a very successful go green or green energy policy. For this I had to pick the UAE. I went to a few articles online, and I really do think they had been a very good job and our doing there part in maintaining a more organic environment, which isn't toxic. So anyway throughout the early 2010s , the people in charge of development in Dubai, have been focused on going the modern way with technology, which is environment friendly and not solely dependant on fossil fuels. This was to help the country move forward into the future , lead an initiative for the world to follow . And ofcourse do their part in coming with solutions that aids people but does not ruin their surroundings . Thus with the blessing of the Royal family, who supported a series of green energy initiatives which where were to take the load of oil and instead branch out towards solar and electric energy . There are actually a number of projects going on ,but the main one is know as the DEWA initiative . This along with others was planned out to achieve their energy goals for the year 2020. But they'll been pretty successful so far and even won an award for these reforms in India. Basically these projects are to slowly make a shift from fuel use to electrical use of transport , like charged cars . This will help cut back on carbon emissions by hopefully 19 percent . Which of course means a drastic fall in air pollution ,and an increase in the chance of preserving fossil fuels. What they started of with was just buying green technology , while making use of what they already had . Then they kept us with the research done on the subject ,then they starting implementing their goals in three steps. First they installations of charging areas around the area ,then they tested them out and lastly came up with the final touches, and they do have about 8 electric cars in this vicinity. Since this whole project to infuse safer energy options. Now this is a fantastic achievement and I think it would do wonders for not just Dubai but for the international community . We already know oil, coal and fuel isn't going to last forever and with the way we are wasting it away who knows how long we will have it. Plus we do have other options like solar power which has no negative consequences ,it's just a little expensive at the time. But well spent money can go along way. If I had to find something wrong with the situation, it would that, if they really do want to promote a healthy environment. Then based on their environment there should be some reforestation projects. I know that it's particularly desert but there has be some care of plantation in the concrete jungle. But overall I think what they are doing is very good and something other countries should consider before it's too late
