![]() Various governments in North America put emphasis toward Environmental Protection. Out of these countries, Canada seems to stand out with its fresh, clean impression. Recognizing its beautiful lakes and mountain ranges, Canada has put significant emphasis on development of Environmental technology. Canada has been well known for its clean air, enormous land and sustainable environment. The Canadian government?s recognition toward its environment started since World War II, according to the ?The Science Times Korea.? During the War, they were able to observe the climate change and get significant data out of it. Seeing its own icebergs melting due to global warming, Canada not only saw it as threat to its country but also a negative impact on global community. Thus, Canada decides to focus on environmental technology. One significant problem they notice was the global warming. In response to this, Canada proposed Action Plan 2000, Climate Change 2002 and Climate Change 2005 to set up specific response to greenhouse effect. Through these acts, the Canadian Government works with international partners and local government to protect its Northern sea and lakes. For instance, with state governments, the Canadian government recently pledged to attend the Paris Climate conference and meet to combat climate change, come up with definite national goal, and make sure states have federal funding to continue working toward environmental sustainability. To ensure that these policies run properly, Canadian government provides environmental/partnership fund, tax benefits and incentives, and governmental support for environmental program.
