![]() 1, Overview: WEco is a non-profit young team working for sustainable development and environmental education, founded by me. With a view to raising public awareness and changing their attitudes towards environmental protection and nature preservation, WEco represents Vietnamese young generation who unstoppably make an effort to foster a healthy and unpolluted environment for themselves and their beloved. In addition to creative ideas of recycling, WEco aims for informative talks, helpful workshops, 'green' competitions with a range of surprising awards, as well as vibrant camps for students throughout the city. 2, Objectives: In October and November, Collaborate with cafe's in Hanoi city to hold events that help raise public's awareness about environment such as: + Special offers for customers that bring a used plastic bag/environmental friendly bags with them for takeaway drinks. + Allowance for us to display our recycled, handmade products in the cafe to help people acknowledge more about recycling. + Allowance for us to have free talks about environment, guides about how to recycle and make handmade, environmental friendly products each weekend. In addition, we intend to conduct a campaign that encourage people to trade their paper for trees. 3, Member Recruitment: In the first place, I created an online application form in order to recruit members for these projects. Confident as I was, hardly anyone filled in the form, be it too difficult, time-consuming or long. And I have to admit, doing everything on your own without any help is really challenging. I could not find enough time, leading to the poor performance of the promotion. I was experiencing a shortage of human resources. And then, luckily, I was assigned to found a club for students from an English academy. This also opened the door to my new relationships, and I took this chance to get WEco acknowledged by more people. I knew that improving English was on demand, so attracted members to the club by holding meetings, debates in English. And to my surprise, there was a great turn-out each time, and I realized the potential in some members, together with their passion for volunteering work. When I asked whether they would like to contribute to an environmental projects, many were excited and signed up for various positions. Now I have had enough members I need to carry out these campaigns, and we are going to put our plans into practice next month. Last Sunday, we just gathered together and decided approaches as a whole, assigned tasks and set deadlines. Here are some photos to show how we had fun. We meet once a week for further discussion to ensure the progress of the projects. ![]() ![]() ![]() But in order to bring about the success I aim for, I gave each member a month for a trial period to see the compatibility between them and the projects. Now we are still working on it. I apologize for the delay of the plans I made because of certain unexpected events. But then again, I believe better late than never. I am looking forward to the outcomes of our work, and I will definitely inform you of it. Once again, thank you for your attention. <3 Follow us on facebook (click)
