The festival is the main event covered by the theme of sustainability in Brazil. It is called "Virada Sustentável". The first event happened in São Paulo city. Then, in Manaus (Amazon), Valinhos and Porto Alegre.

The ideia is to gather public organizations, companies, academia and all other entities to think and be aware about environmental issues. The concept of this year festival is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by United Nations.

This year, 2016, the event happened from 25^th to 28^th of August and the concepts of the SDGs were displayed in subway, parks, streets and malls. 

During these days, people could see around the city a lot of sustainable concepts such as no hunger, energy and water for everyone, gender equality for a society, conservation of life on land, education and about climate change.
