 We cut down forests to install photovoltaic panels.😨 There are better ways to make our transition, out of fossil fuels. ⚡We've all seen those 𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 in our countryside. They are installed on previous forests or former farmland. Yes, the very technology we are using to fight climate change is taking away natural land. Precious forests are being cleared for solar panels. Entire ecosystems and wildlife habitats are being disrupted. But there is a better solution: "Artificial use". 🅿️We can use existing artificial surfaces, such as 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀, to install solar panels. According to a recent report from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, rooftop solar alone could provide 40% of US electricity needs. And imagine if all parking lots were covered with solar panels. A cool place to park your car and a direct source of local energy! By choosing to 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, we can reduce our dependence on fossil fuels without further harming our planet. Let's be conscious of our impact on the environment and act responsibly for a sustainable future.🌎
