Global Warming

Global warming is a process in which the surface temperature of the earth increases. Global warming is familiar to the people of Indonesia. However, many still not moved to counter global warming.

Global warming is the result of the greenhouse effect. Increased carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases such as CFCs, believed to be the main cause of global warming. Scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate predict on 2100, global temperatures could increase by about 1.4 to 5.8 ?.

Global Warming and Indonesia

Indonesia is a country with forests scattered throughout the island. The existence of these forests should be able to become a weapon against global warming. But in fact, the high population growth makes the need for land increased. In addition, weak law enforcement makes the forests in Indonesia wane.

Not only that, the increased volume of vehicles in Indonesia has been rapid. Unavailability of adequate public transport and the need for high mobility makes people choose private vehicles, such as cars or motorcycles. Increasing the volume of the vehicle also makes the volume of exhaust gases increased and contributes to greenhouse gases.

Even so, Indonesia has also become one of the affected countries of the global warming. Increasing global temperatures have an impact on rising sea levels. As an archipelago, Indonesia could lose some of the islands. In addition, certain cities such as Jakarta threatened to sink.
