
|| INDIA || According to the recent assessment of 'Central Electricity Authority' , India has reached a major milestone of renewable energy . The total capacity of renewable energy produced in the country has reached upto 42,850 megawatts which is mainly from the wind and solar power . The renewable energy projects ( 42,850 MW) overtook the hydropower capacity of the country which is around 42,783 megawatts.This made the country to emerge as one of the fastest-growing renewable energy market. For the future plans , the country has set Rs 6 lakh crores target to build more renewable energy plants which would increase the Solar Energy capacity to 1 lakh MW by the year 2022 , said power, coal and Renewable Energy Minister Piyush Goyal . The officials also stated that by 2030 the country would be producing the 40% of it's electric power capacity from the renewable energy plants . The good news is that the Nation is already on track to achieve these immense targets , which would be a great success for the nation and betterment of the environment. And if the following is achieved then India would become the world's largest producers of renewable energy .
