![]() ![]() ![]() On June 9th 2016, I was a guest speaker in another inspirational class hosted by Taman Rama School (the school I go to) for students in grade 3-5. There were over 100 students that attended as there were 2 classes in each grade. I talked about what the environment meant to me and also shared about my experience as a Tunza eco-generation?s regional ambassador and also my experience in GYELS. First, I started off with an introduction of myself. Then, I talked about the environment with the 5W and 1H. I gave the students a chance to participate too by asking them what the environment means to them, who needs to save it and the rest of the 5W and 1H. They all answered excellently. Then I proceeded by talking about Tunza eco-generation. I talked about what Tunza eco-generation is, the ambassadorship program, what I do as an ambassador, monthly events and GYELS. I told them that you can be a regional ambassador when you turn 13 and their reactions were priceless. A lot were shocked and others were sad because 13 is still far away from them ahaha. My experience in GYELS had its own slide. I talked about what I did in those 5 days. I talked about my amazing memories, about my new-found friends and I told them how incredible it was. They all wanted to join. Especially after I told them it was held in Seoul, South Korea. I showed them the pictures of when I was there and they were all very excited to see those pictures. I was also explaining them about the MUN and I told them that my team and I presented about Climate Change and how it affects all living things on planet Earth. Then the most surprising thing ever happened. The principal barged into the room and stopped the presentation as THERE WAS AN EARTHQUAKE. My point was made. The Earthquake, I am sure, was a side effect of Climate Change. We were all evacuated out of the building and we stayed out in the parking lot for about 15 minutes and we were allowed to come back into the building and continue the presentation. (I felt like this article is too long so I'm splitting it to two articles as I want to share a lot of pictures. Please check out part 2 to see what happens next) |
