![]() Conscience, by definition, is an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one?s behavior. To be environmentally conscious, or to be eco-friendly, and raising awareness is focus of majority of environmental activists like TUNZA Eco-generation family. I have seen many eco-conscious people around me who truly and passionately protect our environment. For instance, green eco-cycle club members described picking a trash as picking up the abandoned conscious. Here in America, ever since Rachel Carson and the Awakening of Environmental Consciousness movement, our nation has been paying such attention on environmental issues. For instance, 71% of our consumers think green when purchasing (Environmentalleader.com) 80% of Americans worry about environments and 83% believe that we can achieve environmental protection. (ecoamerica.org) Also consider Emma Watson, a famous British actress well known to us with the movie series Harry Potter, who gave a speech when she wore an environmental-friendly dress made out of recycled plastic bottles. The dress was a collaboration work with Calvin Klein and Eco Age along with Emma. She claimed that she is proud to say that it is truly sustainable. She explained that to her doing conscious things is her LUXURY. So when I attended the UN DPI/NGO Conference, I decided to pledge to protect environment under an organization called An Era of Conscience. I was interviewed by this organization?s member. I described what I do as an environmental activist, such as introducing TUNZA family and my nature book. They later posted my pledge and interviews on their website. How often do we truly think about the impact we make on our environment? How many people out there are still not aware of dangers our environment is in? What can we do to protect our surroundings as awakened global citizens? I believe it all starts from having this consciousness, doing a right thing to protect this valuable gift. We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors. we borrow it from our children. –Native American -
